Terms of service for I Love Cards

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using I Love Cards, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the platform.

These Terms apply to all users, including Visitors, Collectors, and Creators.

2. Purpose of the Platform

I Love Cards is a SaaS platform that allows users to create, publish, share, download, and collect card decks.

The platform acts as a hosting, distribution, and library tool. I Love Cards does not provide printing services, legal review, or content validation.

"I Love Cards" is a trade name operated by Stormz SAS. See the Legal page for full company details.

3. User Types

The platform distinguishes between the following user roles:

  • Creators: Users who create and publish decks, whether free or paid.
  • Collectors: Users who save, access, and download decks they purchased or obtained from creators.
  • Visitors: Users who browse public deck pages without an account.

Each user may hold multiple roles.

4. Age Requirement

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account on I Love Cards.

Users under 18 may not purchase paid content or subscriptions without parental or guardian consent.

By using the platform, you represent that you meet these age requirements.

5. Account Responsibility

Users are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of their account information
  • Securing access credentials
  • All activity performed through their account

Each user may create only one account. Sharing login credentials with third parties is prohibited unless you accept full responsibility for the consequences.

I Love Cards is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by user negligence.

6. License to Use the Platform

I Love Cards grants users a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the platform during their active account or license period.

This license grants access to the platform tools only; it does not transfer ownership of any content, deck, or intellectual property unless explicitly stated.

7. Creator Obligations and Content Responsibility

Creators are fully responsible for the content they publish.

By publishing a deck, a creator confirms that:

  • They own the content or have all required rights and licenses
  • The content complies with applicable laws and regulations
  • The content does not infringe third-party rights

I Love Cards does not review, validate, or approve content before publication.

8. Ownership of Content

Creators retain full ownership and all intellectual property rights to the decks, cards, texts, images, and other content they create, upload, or publish on I Love Cards.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of such content to I Love Cards.

By publishing content on the platform, the Creator grants I Love Cards a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, and display the content solely for the purpose of operating the platform and its features.

This license ends when the content is removed from the platform, except where continued storage is required for legal or technical reasons.

9. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate removal or account termination:

  • Illegal content under applicable law
  • Content infringing copyright, trademark, or intellectual property rights
  • Hate speech, harassment, or incitement to violence
  • Discriminatory content based on protected characteristics
  • Pornographic or sexually explicit content involving minors
  • Fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive content
  • Content encouraging illegal activities

I Love Cards reserves the right to remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice if violations are detected.

10. Copyright Takedown Requests

If you believe content on I Love Cards infringes your copyright or intellectual property rights, you may submit a takedown request by contacting us via the information provided on the Legal page.

Your request must include:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work
  • Identification of the infringing content and its location on the platform
  • Your contact information
  • A statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder

I Love Cards will review and respond to valid requests in accordance with applicable law.

11. Publication, Visibility, and Removal

Creators control the visibility of their decks by selecting a status:

  • Draft — Work in progress, visible only to the creator
  • Private — Personal use only, not shared publicly
  • Early Access — Publicly accessible but marked as beta or preview
  • Published — Publicly accessible and listed in the platform directory
  • Unlisted — Accessible via direct link only, not listed in the directory
  • Archived — Hidden and no longer active

Creators may change the status of their decks at any time. Changing a deck to a private status (Draft, Private, or Archived) removes it from public visibility.

I Love Cards reserves the right to:

  • Remove or hide any deck that violates these Terms
  • Suspend or terminate creator accounts for repeated or severe violations

Removal does not entitle the creator to compensation or refund.

12. Collectors and Deck Access

Collectors may access decks they purchased or obtained, subject to the creator's publishing status and platform availability.

I Love Cards does not guarantee permanent availability of any deck, including:

  • Decks removed by creators
  • Decks removed for legal or policy reasons
  • Decks associated with terminated accounts

Collectors are encouraged to download and store files they rely on.

13. Downloads and Printing Disclaimer

Downloaded files are provided "as is".

I Love Cards:

  • Does not provide printing services
  • Does not validate print readiness
  • Does not guarantee compatibility with any print shop, printer, or printing process

Users are solely responsible for:

  • Verifying file dimensions, bleed, margins, colors, and formats
  • Testing files with their chosen print provider
  • Reviewing proofs before printing

I Love Cards is not responsible for printing errors, production costs, reprints, or financial loss resulting from printed materials.

14. Payments, Pricing, and Refunds

Platform Licenses

I Love Cards offers the following license tiers:

  • Standard License — One-time payment for core platform features.
  • Pro License — One-time payment for full platform access, including all current and future premium features.

Both licenses grant access for the lifetime of the platform — there are no recurring fees or subscriptions.

New users may access a 7-day free trial (no credit card required) before purchasing.

All prices are displayed in EUR (€) and may include taxes where required by law.

Lifetime Access Disclaimer

"Lifetime access" means access for as long as the I Love Cards platform remains operational.

I Love Cards is a web-based service, not downloadable software. If the platform ceases to operate — whether due to business closure, discontinuation, or other circumstances — access to the platform and its features will end.

I Love Cards does not guarantee indefinite availability and is not obligated to provide refunds, compensation, or alternative access in the event of platform discontinuation.

Users are encouraged to download and store any files or content they wish to retain.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, a third-party payment provider. By making a purchase, you also agree to their Buyer Terms.

I Love Cards does not store payment card details.

Deck Access

Decks on the platform may be free or require an access code provided by the creator. Access codes grant entitlements to view, download, or use specific decks according to the permissions set by the creator.

I Love Cards does not currently process payments for individual deck purchases. Creators who sell decks do so through their own channels.

Optional Add-ons

I Love Cards may offer optional add-on purchases such as AI Token Packs for AI-powered features. These are one-time purchases and are non-transferable.

Refunds

Due to the digital nature of the products:

  • Licenses: Refund requests may be considered within 14 days of purchase if the platform has not been substantially used. Contact us via the Legal page.
  • AI Token Packs and add-ons: Generally non-refundable once credits have been used.

I Love Cards reserves the right to modify pricing at any time. Existing license holders are not affected by price changes.

15. No Guarantee of Availability or Performance

The platform is provided under an obligation of means, not an obligation of results.

I Love Cards does not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Data permanence
  • Compatibility with specific devices, software, or workflows

Temporary interruptions, bugs, or data loss may occur.

16. Warranty Disclaimer

The platform and all content, features, and services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I Love Cards expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy or completeness of content

I Love Cards does not warrant that:

  • The platform will meet your specific requirements or expectations
  • The platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • Results obtained from using the platform will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors will be corrected

Any material downloaded or obtained through the platform is accessed at your own risk.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • I Love Cards is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the previous 12 months
  • No liability is accepted toward end users or third parties

This includes loss of data, revenue, reputation, or business opportunities.

18. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless I Love Cards, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Content you create, upload, or publish
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights

19. Technical Support

I Love Cards provides support through email and online documentation.

Support is included with all licenses and covers:

  • Platform usage questions
  • Technical issues and bug reports
  • Account-related inquiries

I Love Cards does not guarantee specific response times but aims to respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Support does not include:

  • Training or consulting services
  • Content creation or design assistance
  • Third-party integrations or print shop troubleshooting

20. Data and Backups

Users are responsible for maintaining their own backups. We provide a CSV export feature that allows you to download your deck data (cards, categories, metadata, and image URLs) at any time.

We encourage you to regularly export your decks to keep a local copy of your work.

I Love Cards may retain or delete data according to internal policies. After account closure, data may be permanently deleted.

21. Third-Party Services and External Links

I Love Cards may use third-party services for payment processing, analytics, hosting, and other functions.

By using the platform, you acknowledge that these third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies. I Love Cards is not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

External Links

The platform may contain links to external websites or resources. I Love Cards:

  • Does not control or endorse external content
  • Is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of external sites
  • Is not liable for any damage or loss caused by external content

Accessing external links is at your own risk.

Unsplash Images

The platform integrates with Unsplash to provide access to free stock photography.

Images sourced from Unsplash are subject to the Unsplash License. By using Unsplash images in your decks, you agree to:

  • Not sell unaltered copies of Unsplash photos (e.g., as prints, posters, or merchandise without significant modification)
  • Not compile Unsplash photos to create a competing service
  • Respect photographer attribution displayed in the platform

I Love Cards automatically includes photographer attribution where technically feasible. Removal of attribution may violate Unsplash's terms.

22. Showcasing Published Content

By publishing a deck with a public status (Published or Early Access), you authorize I Love Cards to showcase your deck title, description, and preview images for promotional purposes, including on the website, in marketing materials, and at events.

This authorization applies only to publicly visible content and does not include your personal name, email, or private information unless you have given explicit consent.

If you do not wish your published deck to be featured, you may opt out by contacting us via the Legal page or by changing your deck to a private status.

23. Termination

Users may close their account at any time.

I Love Cards reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Illegal activity
  • Abuse of the platform

Termination does not create a right to refund or compensation.

24. Modifications to Terms

I Love Cards may update these Terms at any time.

When changes are made:

  • The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be revised
  • For material changes, users may be notified via email or platform notification

Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

25. Assignment

These Terms constitute a personal agreement between you and I Love Cards.

You may not transfer, assign, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without prior written consent from I Love Cards.

I Love Cards may transfer or assign these Terms to a successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and I Love Cards regarding your use of the platform.

Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

28. Force Majeure

I Love Cards is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, or third-party service failures.

29. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by French law.

Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cergy-Pontoise, Val-d'Oise, France.
